These "little towns" are models for a new humanity. They are real, tiny
little towns made up of houses, schools, small factories and workshops. The evangelical law of reciprocal love is practiced by
all those living there; as a consequence there is a great communion of cultures, of
spiritual as well as material goods among everyone. Tens of thousands are the visitors
every year.
At present these "little
towns" are 20 in all continents.

Each one of them has its own characteristic
- In 1965 the first such "little town" was born in Loppiano
(Florence), Italy. It is outstanding for its internationality. At present
800 are its inhabitants coming from 70 different nations. It is a model of a "united
world", a place which expresses the creativity of a new planetary culture as a
consequence of the fusion of the riches of different races and peoples
- In Cameroon, Kenya and Ivory Cost these "little
towns" are outstanding for the way the Gospel's message is being inculturated
in African societies.
- In the "little towns" in Brazil and Argentina
what emerges is the development of the Economy of communion. Numerous
business enterprises involved in the economy of communion project are located there.
- In the Philippines what characterizes the "little towns" is
the dialogue with the oriental religions.
- In Germany the "little town" is ecumenical:
Lutherans and Catholics there live together.
- · In the USA, in Hyde Park,( NY) there is a "little town"
that can be a model for dialogue among people of different races and cultures.
